China's nurse specialists' perspectives on specialists training programs: a systematic review of qualitative studies

Abstract:Objective To fully understand the inner needs and real feelings of nurse specialists,and to provide evidence for specialists training programs in China.Methods We searched such databases as CNKI,WanFang Data,VIP and CBM from inception to April 2017.The quality of included studies was evaluated according to JBI critical appraisal tool for qualitative studies.Then we summed up nurse specialists' perspectives on specialists training programs.Results A total of 8 papers were collected,and 32 findings were grouped according to their similarities and formed 8 categories(positive experience,negative experience,the perception of training,the existing problems of training model,training proposals,knowledge updates,changes in thinking,opportunities for communication).These categories resulted in 3 synthesized findings:psychosomatic learning experience,the experience of training effect,harvest and growth.Conclusion Nurse specialists harvest from specialists training programs specialized knowledge and skills,which contributes to increase the sense of self-values.However,the current training model needs further improvement.Suggestions include increasing the training support,and paying more attention to real experiences of nurses,so as to improve the quality of training.
