Abstract:Obj ective:To probe into the effectiveness of hot compress,glaub-er’s salt external application,compound cloves appetizing patch for postop-erative gastrointestinal functional recovery of elderly patients in department of urological surgery.Methods:A total of 320 patients were divided into two layers including extraperitoneal surgery and abdominal surgery based on surgical path.Each layer of patients were randomly divided into four groups of observation group,hot compress group,glauber group and cloves group. Patients in observation group received conventional surgical care,patients in hot compress group used hot water bottle for abdominal hot compress, glauber group of patients used glauber for abdominal external application, the patients in cloves group used compound cloves appetizer stickers for posted umbilicus after operation,then to observe the first exhaust and defe-cation in four groups of patients.Results:For patients after extraperitoneal surgery,compared with the observation group,the patients’exhaust time and defecation time were ahead in hot compress group,glauber group and cloves group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05 );while hot compress group,glauber group,cloves group pairwise compari-son,there were no significant differences in exhaust time and defecation time(P>0.05).For patients after abdominal surgery,compared with the observation group,there was not statistically significant difference in exhaust time and defecation time between hot compress group and glauber group(P>0.05). While the exhaust time and defecation time of patients were advanced in cloves group compared with other three groups,the difference was statisti-cally significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:The effect of hot compress,glauber external application and compound cloves appetizer stickers paste umbilical for promoting the recovery of gastrointestinal function of elderly patients in department of urological surgery after extraperitoneal surgery is the same, but the compound cloves appetizer poaste umbilical is the effective measure to promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function of patients after abdom-inal surgery.
