Correction of misunderstanding antimicrobial treatment to improve the rational use of antibi-otics

Abstract:Antibiotics rational use is an eternal topic .On the road of the rational use of antimicrobials ,new problems will ap-pear after old problems were solved .The clinical anti-infection is always developed with solving various problems .According to the prin-ciple of rational use of antibacterials ,this article is analyzing the recently common problems in antimicrobial drug application .The clini-cians should understand that antimicrobial therapy is to treat a variety of bacterial infection rather than to simply eradicate bacteria ex -isting in clinical samples .The microbiological examination needs to be done actively with sterile samples while microbiological examina -tion with low quality samples should be avoided .The results of bacterial resistance monitoring should be interpreted correctly and anti-microbial drugs with high sensitivity should be chosen to initial an empirical therapy .The PK/PD parameters should be appreciated rightly to formulate and improve the anti-infection regimens .The tissue drug concentrations in different categories of antibiotics should not be over-emphasized.
