Abstract:Objective To study the advantages, disadvantages and feasibility of two modes of pentazocine in preemptive analgesia in laparoscopic cholocystectomy (LC). Methods 90 patients were randomized into three groups. Group A received pentazocine both 0.5 mg/kg preoperatively and 0.2 mg/kg at last 15 min of surgery, Group B received 0.5 mg/kg preoperatively, and Group C received normal saline. The agitation and cough of postoperative extubation, postoperative VAS scores, recovery quality and adverse reactions were observed. Results Agitation and cough of extubation in Group A was significantly lower than that in Group B&C (P<0.05). The VAS scores in 24 h ours of Group A were lower than those of Group C (P<0.05), and the scores in the first 8 h of Group A were lower than those of Group B (P<0. 05);no patients required supplemental analgesics. The VAS scores of the first 2 h of Group B was lower than those of Group C (P<0.05), but 9 patients required supplemental analgesics. Conclusions Preoperative and last-15-min-operative application of pentazocine has a satisfactory effect on preemptive analgesia, reducing agitation, cough and postoperative pain, with more stable hemodynamics.
