Study of the Relationship Between Amyloid Β of Patients with Alzheimer's Disease and Apolipoprotein E

Abstract:Objective To detect the polymorphism of plasma Aβ42 and apotipoprotein E(ApoE)of patients with Alzheimer's disease(AD),and to explore the abnormal metabolism of Aβ42.Methods 55 AD cases and 70 normal subiects were randomly selected for detection of polymorphism of plasma Aβ42 and ApoE.Results Compared with control group,Aβ42 of AD group was significantly different[(93.4±7.5)pg/ml in AD group and (90.5±6.3)pg/ml in control group(P＜0.05),which was signfieantly different in slight AD stop(94.7±8.5)pg/ml as compare with that of control group( P＜0.01),hut was not significantly different in moderate AD group (87.6±6.9)pg/ml as compared with that of control group(P＞0.05).Conclusion The abnormal Aβ42 of AD patlents is related to the severity of disease but not related to ApoE.
