Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect and safety of alpha lipoic acid combined with mouse nerve growth factor in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy .Methods From March 2012 to March 2014 , 120 patients with type 2 diabetes treated in the hospital were randomly divided into observation group and control group , 60 cases in each group.The control group was treated with intravenous drip of alpha lipoic acid injection , patients in the observation group with vein drop of alpha lipoic acid injection combined with intramuscular injection of mouse nerve growth factor , once a day .The course of treatment was 21 days.The clinical efficacy , nerve conduction velocity and total symptom score of 2 groups were re-corded, and the levels of urine protein and C reactive protein were measured .Results The total effective rate of observation group was higher than the control group (96.67% vs.85.00%,χ2 =4.90, P <0.05).Compared with before treatment , clinical symptoms of the two groups were improved ( P <0.01), and after treatment, the observation group's sharp pain, burning, numbness symptom score were lower than control group ( t =-4.96, t =-5.98, t =-8.60, P <0.01).Com-pared with before treatment , after treatment , sensory nerve and motor nerve conduction velocity of 2 groups were increased (P <0.01), and the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group ( t =10.52, t =5.57, P <0.01).Compared with before treatment , 2 groups'urinary trace protein and C-reactive protein were decreased , and the obser-vation group was significantly lower than that of the control group ( t =-2.20, t =-6.32, P <0.01).No serious adverse reactions occurred in the 2 groups.Conclusion The effect of the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy with alpha lipoic acid and mouse nerve growth factor is significant and has no obvious adverse reaction .
