Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of asthma predictive index on therapeutic effect and pulmo-nary function in children with asthma. Methods 126 cases were treated with standard treatment for 1 years in the pediatric asthma specialist outpatient clinic of our hospital, and according to the strict standard of API, 76 cases were divided into the API positive group and 50 cases in the API negative group. The value of pulmonary function ( X5, Fres, R5, R20, R5-R20) before and 1 year after treatment were analyzed statistically. 47 healthy children were se-lected as the healthy control group. Results There was no significant difference between the API positive group and the negative group in lung function index before treatment (P>0. 05), but the two groups were worse than the control group (P<0. 05). 1 year after treatment, X5, Fres, R5 and R20 values of the positive group improved significantly improved compared with the former (P<0. 05), but there was no significant difference in the value of R5-R20 (P>0. 05). Before and after treatment, the lung function test values improved significantly in the negative group (P<0. 05). There was no significant difference in the measured values of X5, Fres and R20 between the two groups after 1 years (P>0. 05), but R5 and R5-R20 value were higher in the positive group than in the negative group (P<0. 05). The complete control rate, partial control rate, and uncontrolled rate in the API positive group were 62%, 26% and 9%, respectively, while the rates in the negative group were 80%, 12% and 8%, respectively, and the control of asthma in the negative group was better than that in the positive group (P<0. 05). Conclusion The im-provement of lung function and the control of asthma in the API positive group are worse than those in the negative group.
