Progress in treatment of intra-abdominal infection caused by abdominal trauma

Abstract:Intra-abdominal infection is a common complication and an important cause of death of severe abdominal trauma .Early diagnosis ,risk assessment and appropriate treatment for intra-abdominal infection are key factors in determining the prognosis of intra-abdominal infection caused by abdominal trauma .The source control is considered fundamental for the treatment of most intra-abdominal infections ,and the up-step approach of source con-trol should be established ,and damage control surgery and open abdomen methods should be applied to treat high -risk intra-abdominal infection .The signs without improvement or even deterioration of clinical condition portend the failure of initial source control of intra-abdominal infection , and examination should be implemented decisively to search out uncontrollable source of infection ,and appropriate treatment measures should be administrated timely .
