Abstract:Progesterone plays controversial role in traumatic brain injury.This article aimed to review this subject in following three aspects:mechanism of progesterone in central nervous system,basic research of protective effect of progesterone in traumatic brain injury,and clinical research of progesterone in traumatic brain injury.Conflicts were analyzed and personal view in future related research was put forward as well.
