Clinical and Pathological Analysis of Primary Squamous Cell Carcinoma of Breast

Abstract:Eleven patients with primary squamous cell carcinoma of the breast (PSCCB) pathologically confirmed were retrospectively reviewed. All of the patients under went surgical resection and follow-up. Pathological examination showed PSCCB with metastasis to axilliary lymph nodes in four patients. Seven patients have been living over 5 years. Three patients died of recurrence and metastasis. The clinical feature of the PSCCB was similar to the other breast cancer. PSCCB was often in need of diagnosis by exclusion. It could be confirmed by pathology. No standard therapy could be recommended and prognosis was controversial.
