The Expression and Clinical Significance of TBX3 Gene in Different Molecular Subtypes of Breast Cancer

Abstract:Objective To study the expression of TBX 3 gene in different molecular subtypes of breast cancer .Methods The expression of TBX3 in breast cancer ,benign breast tumor and adjacent normal tissues were detected by immunohistochemis -try.Results The expression of TBX3 in breast cancer was significantly higher than that of benign breast tumor and negative tumor edge tissue(Positive rates were 75.49%、45.55%,30.00%,respectively,P<0.05);The expression of TBX3 in advanced breast cancer was significantly higher than that of early breast cancer ( Positive rates in Phase Ⅰ、 Ⅱ、Ⅲ breast cancer were 64.44%、90.32%、85.00%,respectively,P<0.05);The expression of TBX3 in ER-positive breast cancer patients was higher than that of ER-negative patients (Positive rates were 82.86%、59.38%,P<0.05);The expression of TBX3 in KI-67 over ex-pression breast cancer patients was higher than that of Ki-67 low expression breast cancer patients (Positive rates were 86.79%、63.27%,P<0.05);The expression of TBX3 in Basal-like subtype was the lowest in 4 kinds of molecular subtypes breast cancer patients(36.36%).The expression of TBX3 in luminal A、luminal B、Her-2 positive subtypes were 82.50%、81.82% and 72.22%.Conclusion TBX3 may be one of the target genes of breast cancer ,and it can be used as one of the malignant biomar-kers of luminal subtype breast cancer .
