Abstract:Objective:To study the short-term efficacy of radiotherapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine and radiotherapy in the treatment of middle and late stage esophageal cancer.Methods:To search the clinical randomized controlled trials from January 2000 to July 2015 in the treatment of middle and late stage esophageal cancer treated with radiotherapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine and analyzed by using RevMan 5.3 software.Results:Participants included 21 RCT,total 1 758 patients.Recent effectiveness 95%CI was 1.17,P<0.000 01,1 year survival rate 95%CI was 1.41,P<0.000 01,2 years survival rate 95%CI 1.32,P=0.006,3 years survival rate 95%CI 1.72,P=0.000 1,differences were statistically significant.Conclusion:Radiotherapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment 1,2,3 years survival rates are superior to pure radiation therapy.
