Overview on researches of treatment of AIDS fever by traditional Chinese medicine

Abstract:To understand the status of clinical researches on acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS) related fever treated by traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),we searched and analyzed the researches of the past ten years reported in literatures including China National Knowledge Internet,China Hospital Knowledge Database,Wanfang Data,Service Integration Platform of Vipu Periodical Resources and China Biology Medicine,to give an overview of the etiology and pathogenesis,syndromes,and TCM therapeutic methods.AIDS fever was caused by HIV infection due to virus attack to vital qi,and exogenous pathogens of six climatic evils,which led to disharmony between nutritive qi and defensive qi,lung spleen and kidney deficiency.Different physicians had different views on the types of syndromes.TCM could achieve more satisfactory effect on AIDS fever through adjusting the regulation of ying and wei,harmonizing shaoyang,nourishing the kidney-yin,invigorating spleen to replenish qi,heat-clearing and detoxifying and other treatment methods.
