Abstract:Objective To analyze the anticoagulant and fibrinolytic status and related factors in patients with generalized pustular psoriasis(GPP). Methods Fifty-five hospitalized GPP patients and 54 matched healthy controls were enrolled in this study. The level of D-Dimer, plasma fibrinogen(FIB) and C-reactive protein(CRP) in GPP patients and healthy controls were analyzed retrospectively. Results The levels of FIB, D-Dimer and CRP were significantly higher in the GPP group than in the healthy control group(F/Z=69.097, -7.078, -7.112, all P<0.001), and the changes were irrelevant to sex and age. The level of FIB was positively and significantly correlated with CRP(r=0.525, P=0.002) in GPP patients. The analysis of influence factors showed that the levels of FIB and D-Dimer were significantly higher in GPP patients over 45 years of age than GPP patients younger than 45 years of age(F/Z=5.401, -2.458; P=0.024, 0.014), and the levels of FIB were higher in the male GPP patients and the GPP patients transformed from psoriasis vulgaris(F/Z=4.382, P=0.041, F=4.808, P=0.033) than the female GPP patients and the GPP patients without psoriasis vulgaris history respectively. Conclusion There exists abnormal coagulation and fibrinolysis in GPP patients, which is related to systemic inflammatory response. This may be one part of the pathological bases for the system organ damage beyond skin in GPP patients.
