Study of hypoglycemic effect of red wine produced from Australia combined with onion on diabetic mice

Abstract:Objective To study the hypoglycemic effect of red wine and red wine combined with onion on diabetic mice .Methods To observe the effect of red wine and red wine combined with onion on blood glucose level ,weight and pancreas ,diabetic mice were induced by alloxan .Results The low dose group and the high dose group of red wine combined with onion had obvious effects on blood glucose level of diabetic mice induced by alloxan (P<0 .05 or P<0 .01) .Diabetic mice′s weight reduced significantly and in-creased after the treatment with red wine and red wine combined with onion (P<0 .05 or P<0 .01) .Diabetic mice′s pancreas func-tion recovered after the treatment .Conclusion Red wine and red wine combined with onion have hypoglycemic and protective effects on injured pancreas of diabetic mice .
