Abstract:Objective: To investigate the clinical effectiveness of prolonged low-dose urine plasminogen activator(u-PA)therapy in patients with unstable angina pectoris (UAP). Methods: One hundred and eight patients were randomly divided into study group (n=100) and control group (n=80). Patients in the control group received a routine treatment, while patients in the study group received u-PA with a dose of 200 000~300 000 IU per day for 10~14 days besides the routine treatment. The clinical remission rate of angina symptoms and the incidence of bleeding complications and cardiac events were evaluated on the 5th day and the 10th day of treatment, respectively. Results:The 5-day and 10-day remission rates in the study group were higher than those in the control group(85.0% vs 62.5%, 93.0% vs 78.8%, P0.05).With regard to the CCS classification score, significant differences were shown between two groups (2.4±0.6 vs 2.7±0.6, 2.1±0.4 vs 2.5±0.6,P0.05).No significant differences were found in bleeding complications (P0.05) and cardiac events (P0.05). Conclusion:The prolonged and low-dose u-PA therapy combined with routine treatment achieves a satisfactory effect with a low complication incidence for unstable angina pectoris.
