Effects of the Tongbi Capsule on Acute and Immune Inflammation

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To study the pharmacological effects of the Tongbi capsule on acute and immune inflammation. METHODS Various animal models of inflammation were made,and the theraputic effects of the Tongbi capsule in the models were observed. RESULTS The Tongbi capsule markedly antagonized scald edema of rats,inhibited the biosynthesis or release of PGE_2,remarkably inhibited thymic hyperplasia induced by TDI in guinea pigs. CONCLUSION The Tongbi capsule has inhibitory effect on acute and immune inflammation.
