Shortcomings and Countermeasures of the Tissue Engineered Skin

Abstract:Researches on tissue engineered skin develops quickly, there is no ideal skin substitutes by now. The main shortcomings are easy to be infected, low take rate, without skin appendage, no good preservation method and no perfect solution to immune rejection problem. The countermeasures by now are adding antibiotics to the tissue engineered skin or using materials with anti infection ability, promoting angiogenesis, constructing tissue engineered skin with hair fonicles, tryig to cryopreserve the tissue engineered skin and decreasing antigenicity.
