Abstract:Multiple sclerosis(MS) is an autoimmune disease, characterized by white matter inflammatory demyelinating lesion in the central nervous system(CNS).It causes CNS degeneration and finally leads to paralysis at last. The pathogenesis of MS is complicated, but the real cause is unclear so far.MS is the joint result of inheritance, environment, autoimmunity and virus infection.Innate and adaptive immune processes contribute to its pathogenesis, including microglia/macrophage activation,pro-inflammatory T-cell responses.Nevertheless,T cell subsets, such as CD4+ T cells,CD8+ T cells,T helper cell (Th) 1 and Th17 cells participate in the MS pathogenesis by regulating the MS patients' CNS immune response. Therefore,it is of great significance to study the role of T cell subsets in MS pathogenesis.
