Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation factors of the strength of skeletal muscle in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) by detecting maximum hand grip strength, skeletal muscle index and 6-meter usual gait speed and reated parameters of sarcopenia. Method 310 patients who were referred to the cardiac rehabilitation center of Peking University Third Hospital from September 2015 to January 2016 with or without CHD were selected as the reserch subjects. According to the clinical diagnosis, all patients were divided into myocardial infarction group (107 cases), angina group (145 cases) and contrast group (patients with non-CHD, 58 cases). Collected the general information, biochemical indicators, echocardiography parameters, cardiopulmonary exercise test parameters, body composition test results, and hand grip strength, skeletal muscle index and 6-meter usual gait speed, used multiple linear regression method to analyze the independent influencing factors. Result The mean handgrip strength, skeletal muscle index and 6-meter usual gait speed of the patients was (31.1±7.8) kg, (10.3±1.3) kg/m2 and (1.3±0.2) m/s, respectively. After adjusted by subject demographic and clinical features, systolic velocity of mitral annulus (Sm) was associated with handgrip strength, skeletal muscle index and 6-meter usual gait speed (P=0.001, 0.031 and 0.022, respectively). So did the relationship between regular exercise habit and handgrip strength and 6-meter usual gait speed (P=0.033 and 0.025, respectively). Conclusion The strength of skeletal muscle can be affected by early heart function impairment. Handgrip strength and 6-meter usual gait speed of patients with exercise habit will be better than sedentary patients.
