Abstract:Objective To summarize the first 2 cardiac operations under da Vinci system in southwest part of China and observe its efficacy and safety. Methods Two patients with atrial septal defect underwent da Vinci Si robotic repair operation in our hospital on January 18 and March 18,2016. The clinical data were collected and compared with the open surgery. Results The two operations were successfully completed. The rolume of postoperative bleeding,time of hospital stay and the time with ventilator and drainage tube were significantly shorter than those of open operations. The time of extracorporeal circulation was longer than open operations,while the overall operation time was nearly same to that of open operations. Other postoperative complications were not noticed during short-term follow-up. Conclusion The robotic cardiac surgery was safe and reliable with superior efficacy.
