Change of cytokines levels in hypophysectomied Spraque-Dawly rats

Abstract:Objective　To study the effects of pituitary gland on level of cytokines．Methods　The cytokines including IL-2，IL-6 and TNF was examined by determination method of bioassay．Level of serum growth hormone（GH），thyroid-stimulating hormone（TSH） and prolactin（PRL） were examined by radioimmunoassay in Spraque-Dawly（SD） rats．Results　In hypophysectomied Spraque-Dawly rats，level of serum GH，TSH and PRL are significantly decrease and the level of IL-2，TNF except IL-6 was markedly decreased．Conclusion　The anterior lobe of pituitary gland can effect level of IL-2，TNF．Normal level of GH，TSH，PRL is very important to maintain level of cytokines．
