Combining Testing Levels of TNF-α, CA19-9 and CEA in Gastric Juice for the Clinical Diagnosis of Gastric Cancer

Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical values of combining testing gastric juice levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)、carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9) and carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA) in gastric cancer patients.Methods The gastric juice levels of TNF-α、CA19-9 and CEA in 42 cases of all stages of gastric cancer and 61 cases of benign gastric disorders were determined preoperatively by using immunoradiometric analysis(IRMA) method.Results The results showed that the gastric juice levels of TNF-α、CA19-9 and CEA and their sensitivities were significantly higher((P)0.001) in the gastric cancer group than those in the benign gastric disorders group.The sensitivity and specificity of combining assaying gastric juice TNF-α、CA19-9 and CEA levels were higher than those of the simple index in gustric cancer group.Conclusion Combining testing gastric juice levels of TNF-α、CA19-9 and CEA can contribute to add the diagnosis capacity in the patients with gastric cancer.
