Abstract:As the main parameter of watershed hydrological modeling, the quantitative extraction and accuracy test of digital stream networks are becoming the research focus of digital hydrology, especially the research on automatic extraction method for the wetland area of flooding plain. The study takes the Honghe wetland area of Sanjiang plain for research, and attains the 10m DEM by vector extraction on the 1:10000 relief maps. With the Hydro Arc tools on ArcGIS, the digital rivers have been extracted from the DEM. Moreover, based on the DEM characteristic information of wetland area of flooding plain, the lacustrine bog and depression are extracted by the modified Breaching and Flat Area Algorithm. Since the GIS technology for digital stream networks extraction is not good enough, especially on some areas with specific landform type in wetland of flood plain, the multi-source remote sensing information as supplement can achieve more effective results. According to the registration of extraction result above and QUIKBIRD image with high precision GPS information, the morphology difference and accuracy characteristics of extraction result are analyzed, then, with the matching method, the accurate digital stream network can be obtained. This study shows that it can be attain the characteristic of digital drainage and related hydrological information from the combination of RS technology and various geographic information means. High precision image and GPS are helpful to the analysis of digital extraction and correct the characteristics of specific landform in wetland.
