Abstract:The wastewater of a fungicide factory exhibited the characteristics of high toxicity, high COD, high ammonia-nitrogen and high salinity. Especially, this wastewater contained difenoconazole and its intermediates which had inhibitory effects on microorganism. Therefore, it was unlikely to remove them by conventional biological treatment. According to these facts, a combined process of evaporation, ferric-carbon micro-electrolysis, Fenton oxidation, anaerobic, aerobic, nitrification, denitrification and flocculating deposition was employed to treat this wastewater. The results showed that the evaporation process could effectively remove the salt and the partial COD from wastewater. Further, the pretreatment of ferric-carbon micro-electrolysis and Fenton oxidation could converse the triazole fungicide into short-chain carboxylic acids. The biochemical system could effectively reduced the amounts of COD and ammonia-nitrogen. The effluent quality could comply with Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard after the treatment.
