Abstract:Survival competition ability of transgenic maize SK12-5 with insect and herbicide resistance was studied in the transgenic experimental base in Gongzhuling City,Jilin Province.The results showed that under the condition of wasteland,weeds grew fast and densely,and occupied most of the resources such as light,water and nutrient.SK12-5 had no advantage in surviving compared with weeds.Under the condition of field,SK12-5 could grow normally,plant height and coverage were lower than that of its corresponding non-transgenic maize,but no significant difference.There was also no significant difference in yield and germination rates between SK12-5 and non-transgenic maize.
