Cluster Analysis of ISSR and RAPD of 60 Kenaf Germplasm Resources

Abstract:The cluster analysis of 60 kenaf germplasm resources was assessed to show the similarity by ISSR and RAPD marker.Combined the data of RAPD and ISSR,the genetic similarity coefficients a-mong kenaf germplasm resources were calculated by using NTSYSpc -2.10e software and were construc-ted cluster map by UPGMA cluster analysis.59 primers produced 455 clear bands which had 368 poly-morphic bands with 6.24 each.Its ratio reached 80.9 percent.45 cultivars and 15 wild /half -wild varie-ties could be separated at the level of GSC =0.871;and 45 cultivated kenaf could be divided into four groups at the level of GSC =0.882.The genetic similarity coefficients among cultivars and wild /half -wild species were from 0.457 to 0.971,while GSC varied from 0.827 to 0.972 within 45 cultivars.It played an important role in key germplasm selection in different regions,which is helpful for molecular assist breeding.
