Abstract:Priordial follicles of mammalian ovaries are the banks of female gametes, but most follicles become atretic during pre-antral follicles, which is absolutely enormous waste. More and more scholars devote themselves to development and application of pre-antal follicles and several follicle culture systems have been successfully pioneered, especially in mice. In the article, follicle developmental process, methods of follicle isolation, culture systems of different diameter follicles, selection of medium, influential factors and the progress in their researches are summarized. It provides theoretic reference for modifying culture system of prantral follicles and discovers development mechanism of follicles.
