Abstract:A field experiment was conducted in 2014 and 2015 to solve the problem of reasonable potassium application to rice in Jilin province, and the effects of different potassium fertilizer applications (0,40,80,120 and 160 kg/hm2) on rice yield, nutrient absorption, translocation and utilization were studied. The results indicated that yield increased first and then declined with the increase of potassium application amount.By fitting rice yield (y) and potassium fertilizer application (x),the optimum potassium application amount was found to be 114.5 kg/hm2 and 108.1 kg/hm2,respectively.Potassium fertilizer application improved the absorption of N,P and K at different growth stages of rice, and enhanced the translocation of N,P and K nutrition from vegetative organs to grain at the heading stage.Within the range of 40-120 kg/hm2,the amount of nutrient accumulation was proportional to the amount of translocation at the heading stage, while they were inversely proportionate when potassium application amount exceeded 160 kg/hm2.Potassium agronomy efficiency, partial fertilizer productivity and physiological utilization efficiency decreased with the increment of potassium application.Potassium recovery rate in the season increased and then declined with the increment of potassium application, and reached the highest level at 120 kg/hm2 of potassium fertilizer application.Correlation analysis indicated that there was a significantly positive correlation among the absorptions of N,P and K at all growth stages of rice except at the returning green stage, and the absorptions of N,P,K and yield were also significantly or extremely significantly correlated. In the experiment,108-120 kg/hm2 was the appropriate range of potassium application, based on the response of rice yield, nutrient absorption, translocation and potassium utilization efficiency to potassium application and the relationships between N,P and K absorption and rice yield.
