The Relationships Between Eco-morphology and Prey Selection of Five Species of Insectivorous Bats

Abstract:In this article, the relationships between eco-morphology and prey selection of four hipposiderid bats and one rhinolophid bat were reported. This study was carried out at Dushan Village of Anlong County in Guizhou Province. The larger bats, Hipposideros armiger and Hipposideros pratti, selected the larger insects. The smallest bat in this study, Aselliscus stoliczkanus, selected the pint-sized insects. The prey selection of Hipposideros larvatus is between the two patterns mentioned above.
