Research Advances on Effects of Nitrogen Fertilizer Application on Crops

Abstract:Nitrogen is an important nutrient element in crop growth and development,and reasonable application of nitrogen fertilizer is one of the important agronomic measures to increase crop yield and improve crop quality.In this paper,the effects of nitrogen fertilizer application on the crops in recent years were reviewed which included the growth,nutrient absorption,distribution and transportation of crops,effects of starch,soluble sugar,amino acid and protein and its components,and so on.Moreover,the internal mechanism of its effects were analyzed and discussed.At the same time,the problems and suggestions in the process of nitrogen fertilizer application were put forward.
