Comparison of Rutin Content in Chinese Seabuckthorn and Fengningxiong Leaves

Abstract:HPLC method was used to determine the content of rutin in Chinese seabuckthorn (male) leaves and Fengningxiong leaves in different months,and compare the results.The column was a Diamonsil C18 column (150 mm × 4.6 mm,5 μ m),the mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.5％ phosphoric acid (33 ∶ 67),the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min,the detection wavelength was 254 nm,and the column temperature was 30 ℃.The result showed that the content of rutin in leaves of China seabuckthorn from April to November were 0.317,0.492,0.424,0.897,0.981,0.387,1.462,0.441 mg/g,respectively.Rutin content of Fengningxiong leaves from April to November were 0.394,0.557,0.719,0.770,0.540,0.869,0.722,0.855 mg/g,respectively.By comparing the rutin content of 2 varieties,it can provide the basis for the determination of the harvest time and the further development and utilization of seabuckthorn leaves.
