Abstract:The key points of FEA utility of automobile covering parts are analytical efficiency andaccuracy of the results. There are many factors which influence the simulating precision of stampingforming of covering parts,such as mesh quality,analytical parameter setup. By FEM softwareDynaform5.0 for sheet forming and as an example of drawing analysis of rear tank cover of anautomobile,the problems about how to obtain accurate simulating results with efficiency and crackingin practical stamping production are analyzed on aspects of model surface simplify,grid partition,material model selection and stamping parameter selection. It provides suggestion to rectify molds.
