Research of geomagnetic field detection based on the magnetoresistance effect

Abstract:Based on anisotropic magnetoresistive sensor, a triaxial magnetic field detection system was designed, which was smaller than normal geomagnetic field detection system. System module includes a sensor unit, a set-reset unit, a signal conditioning unit, a microprocessor control, digital display unit and a power section. The single axis HMC1021Z and two axes HMC1022 sensors produced by Honeywell were used in the seneor unit. The results show that the magnetic field of the earth can be measured effectively by the designed detection system, which is small, low power consuming and high accurate.
