Research on Winding of Low Power Permanent Magnet Brushless DC Motor

Abstract:Permanent magnet brushless DC motors have a series of advantages, such as high efficiency, reliable operation and convenient maintenance. In the whole motor, the winding is the main component, which plays the role of mutual conversion between electric energy and magnetic energy. In order to study the influence of the winding on the performance of the motor, this paper uses a low-power permanent magnet brushless DC motor with 8 poles and 24 slots as the analysis model. The RMxprt module in Ansoft software is used to establish a motor simulation model. By analyzing the single-layer winding mode and the motor performance curves with 45 turns, 90 turns, and 135 turns, the results show that: when the number of turns per slot is 135 turns, the amplitude of the back electromotive force is the largest, which is 3.72kV, when the number of turns per slot is 135 turns, the maximum power that the motor can output is 780W, when the number of turns per slot is 135 turns, the maximum efficiency that the motor can achieve is the lowest, which is 0.85.
