Abstract:Next Generation Networks (NGN) would be Softswitch-based networks. Based on the analysis of Softswitch interoperation mechanisms, different networking technologies for Softswitch are proposed considering the characteristics of Softswitch, such as IP-based system and the separation between signalling and media.Finally,the migration solution for networking architecture from existing telecommunication networks to Softswitch-based NGN is further presented.

Abstract:Conventional circuit switch network based on telephone service is difficult to provide flexible and sophisticated services.However(NGN)Next Generation Network,which could provide broadband multimedia service integrated with voice、video and data,would combine narrowband and broadband,wire and wireless,passive and active,access and transmission altogether.The key technology of NGN is Soft-Switch which adopts the advantages of IP、ATM、IN、TDM etc.It forms an exoteric layered architecture in order to provide all kinds of services easily and emerge NGN from current network.The dissertation expoundes the connotation,actuality and development trend of SoftSwitch,as well as construes its market foreground and technical difficulties.The SoftSwitch will exert a deep influence on infrastructure of information industry,and China should grasp the opportunity to pluck up the national industry.

Abstract:Today's wireless communication network is in the revolution from the 2nd generation (2G) such as GSM to the 3rd generation networks such as UMTS. The NGN is considered as the ultimate goal of this revolution. This paper introduces a study on how softswitch, the core element of NGN, is applied in the evolving wireless communication network. After a brief overview of NGN and softswitch, this paper provides the new softswitch-involved reference architectures for various wireless networks. It then describes how softswitch can collaborate with other network elements to accomplish call handling for mobile users in wireless networks.

Abstract:As the technology of intelligent substation is developed gradually, the significance of he Ethernet switch in the substation is obvious increasingly.Firstly, the learning and transmitting principle of Ethernet frame are introduced, then the network program of secondary system using the switch in the hierarchial structure is described. And then a detailed analysis of the VLAN, QoS, mirror and ring network is given, also the various technical application scheme are provided according to a variety of IED features and data flow characteristics. On the basis of the different business needs and different message types, the reasonable design of network topology and the flexible use of these switching technology , can support security, stability, reliable transmission of communication message in intelligent substation , therefore the whole substation becomes more strong.

Abstract:With the development of the Internet technologies and computer communication technologies, the traditionary circuit-switch based network must evolves to the new generation network which is based on the packet-switch technology. Facing the progress and status of the convergence of the three-networks, This document presents a distributed and SIP protocal based VoIP system prototype. Due to combinating of merits of SIP and IP, this model not only provides the interoperation with the existed network, but also provides an extendable plat for the NGN. This model uses private VoIP network to achieve the QoS.

Abstract:This paper outlines the network organizing in softswitch-based NGN. First, a non-linear programming scheme that aims to minimize the cost of organizing networks under the constraint of required reliability and delay is analyzed, and we present a heuristic algorithm to solve it. The reliability of the network is guaranteed with both the reliability of the links and that of the softswitch nodes considered, and,state-sharing' is adopted to assure the node's reliability. A design scheme of softswitch node supporting 'state-sharing' is presented. Finally, the evaluation for the heuristic algorithm is presented.

Abstract:The first design of Internet is a task driven product. Designers have never thought that the Internet can increase into today's popularity. So the shortcomings of traditional Internet are ineluctable. To cope with these shortcomings and design a more reasonable next generation network architecture, we propose NGNA which is a two-layer structure naming service layer and transmission layer. Server layer is used for service registration and retrieval, and we use the idea of cloud computing and register all the resources in cloud part, so users do not store any resource. Transmission layer is used for data package transmission and we use multipath structure. Then we analyze the NGNA in the following aspects: reliability, security and scalability. The outcome is that NGNA has good performance in these characters.

Abstract:This paper proposes an open cooperative architecture for the integration of mobile networks. It is based on the soft-switch idea which is the control functional entity of next generation network (NGN) and fit for large scale networking. In the architecture static routing combined with dynamic routing is adopted for globally connecting among network soft-switch centers (NSCs) with distributed control mode, using this method, heterogeneous mobile networks (HMN) can be high efficiently and collaboratively interoperated in the architecture. Through the use of backup and pool techniques, the bottleneck problem can be solved, and system security enhanced. Through dynamic control by NSC in the networking architecture, we can get traffic assignments among HMN based on the quality of service (QoS) and fairness, and can adopt optimal control strategies for each individual network. The algorithms for fair traffic assignment among HMN are addressed and analyzed.
