Abstract:A new algorithm using digital image as watermark is presented. The block-based DCT coefficient of watermark is embedded in image intermediate frequency randomly. It enhances the security and robustness of embedded watermark greatly.

Abstract:In order to authenticate the image integrality,a new and effective fragile watermarking algorithm is proposed based on the analysis of previous watermarking algorithm.Watermark in this algorithm is generated by using DCT coefficients via a look-up table.By using this algorithm,invisibility feature of watermark and anti-attack ability of the marked image are both greatly improved.Moreover,the proposed algorithm can not only be easily embedded into JPEG,but is very suitable for the hardware implementation.

Abstract:In this paper, we propose a watermarking algorithm for digital image based on DCT and SVD. The algorithm can satisfy the transparence and robustness of the watermarking system very well. The experiment based on this algorithm demonstrates that the watermarking is robust to the common signal processing techniques including JEPG compressing,noise, low pass filter, median filter, contrast enhance.Experimental results show that the new watermarking scheme is more robust than the SVD methods.

Abstract:Watermarking is a new technique for copyright protection. The robustness of watermarking is desirable in most practical application. In this paper, we propose a statistic-based watermarking scheme for color images in discrete wavelet domain. Unlike the traditional methods, the watermark is embedded into the statistic of the wavelet coefficients instead of an individual coefficient. We also present a channel adaptive watermarking (CAW) and a strength control function (SCF) to balance the robustness and the invisibility of the watermark. By experiments our algorithm shows a high performance on surviving multiple attacks from Stirmark Benchmark 4.0. The algorithm extends to blind watermarking easily, although the original watermark is needed in this paper.

Abstract:A color image adaptive watermarking scheme is proposed. To increase the robustness and perceptual invisibility, a model called ICPM (image complexity and perceptibility model) is proposed to analyze the different sub-blocks' properties. A novel technique is proposed for the watermark casting and retrieval by utilizing the properties of the image itself. Experimental results demonstrate the robustness of the algorithm to many attacks, such as JPEG, JPEG2000 and A/D conversion.

Abstract:The digital watermark technique is proposed based on Fresnel hologram and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT). The Fresnel hologram of the original watermark is gotten by use of digital holography technique. Then the hologram is embedded in the median-frequency coefficients in the DCT domain. The position of watermark and geometric parameters of optical system are adopted to retrieve the watermark without the original host image. The algorithm has high security and practical value. Numerical experiments show that the embedded watermark is robust to usual image manipulations,such as superposing noise,cropping,filtering and lossy compression. Therefore,there is an application prospect for the algorithm.

Abstract:In this paper, a novel robust grayscale watermarking algorithm based on Two-Levels DCT and SVD is proposed. The watermark signal is (32× 32 × 8) bit gray image. First, the original image is divided into blocks according to the size of the watermark; each block corresponds to each pixel value of watermark. Second, the DCT is applied in each block twice and form new blocks. Then, Get the largest value of each new block to form a new matrix .Apply SVD on the new matrix to get matrices U, S and V for each block. The pixel value of watermark is embedded into the S matrix of the new matrix. And the watermark can be detected with the original image. The experimental results show that the algorithm can satisfy the transparence and robustness of the watermarking system very well. Experimental evaluation demonstrates that the proposed scheme is able to withstand a variety of attacks very well.

Abstract:A DCT-domain watermarking algorithm with 8 bits gray image's watermark is proposed. First, the method of block classification based on HVS is improved, which enhances the information hiding ability of cover image. In the watermark embedding process, we transform the image's watermark into DCT domain, and embed the low-frequency coefficients to the blocks that have bigger elongation factor. At the same time, we adjust the DCT coefficients of image's watermark to make them in the same level. This increases the SNR of extracted watermark. The experimental results show that the mentioned algorithm is more robust to many attacks, especially to JPEG compression, rotation and cropping.

A Watermarking Algorithm for Image Content Authentication in Double-Compression Environment

Abstract:Malicious tampering of digital image content may lead to serious consequences. As image resolution increases and its circulations on the network grows rapidly, images undergo double compression in the following environment: compression (JPEG/JPEG2000) for first release, decoding, application processing (conventional signal processing/security attacks/malicious content tampering), and compression (JPEG2000/JPEG) for rerelease before detection. Effectively determining whether the image content has been tampered and to locate the tampering position in a double-compression environment is an urgent problem. In this paper, a novel watermark expression method based on rotating vector and its modulation algorithm is proposed. Based on this method, a semi-fragile watermarking scheme is established for the image content authentication. The stability of watermarked data is analyzed theoretically, providing the watermark scheme with a theoretical basis. The authentication schemes with feature extraction and reconstruction, watermark embedding and extraction, and tamper detection and localization are mainly elaborated. The robustness of watermark, its security, and related detection performance are analyzed. Theoretical analysis and experiments show that the scheme features a good watermark transparency, good robustness, and stable distribution for different attacks and can effectively distinguish malicious tampering from content-preserving operators and locate tampering area under double-compression environment. In addition, the proposed scheme can resist watermark attacks, collage attacks, and forge attacks. Compared with related schemes, the proposed scheme has superior comprehensive performance and is suitable for content authentication in double-compression environment, which expands the application scope of watermark-based content authentication.
DCT Based Multipurpose Watermarking Technique for Image Copyright Notification and Protection

Abstract:A multipurpose image watermarking technique based on DCT is proposed to notify and protect the copyright of digital products. In order to achieve this objective, the DCT coefficients of each image block are divided into two parts for embedding the visible and invisible watermarks. The visible watermark is embedded in each DC DCT coefficient and most of the AC DCT coefficients of every block, and the invisible watermark in the rest. Based on the characteristics of Human Visual System (HVS) , the embedding strength of the visible watermark is varied in accordance with the underlying content of the host image. The invisible watermark is embedded in a quaternity of midrange frequencies. Experimental results show that the visible watermark is hard to remove and the invisible watermark is robust to common digital signal processing operations.

Abstract:This paper proposes a improved algorithm to embed and detect the digital watermark in digital image. And it uses a highly efficient and practical programming tool MATLAB to achieve a block-based on DCT domain digital watermark embedding and extraction validated. First, transform the watermark information into a binary string, with dual unrelated normal pseudo random sequence of real numbers representing the 0 and 1 of the watermark information embedded in the image of the DCT middle frequency coefficients. Abstract:This paper aims at digital watermark which is a new popular research topic recently, presents some methods to embed digital watermark based on modifying frequency coefficients in discrete wavelet transform (DWT) domain. First, the present progress of digital watermark is briefly introduced; after that, starting from Pitas’s method and discarding his pseudo random number method, the authors use a digital image scrambling technology as preprocessing for digital watermarking. Then the authors discuss how to embed a 1-bit digital image as watermark in frequency domain. Finally another digital watermarking method is given in which 3-D DWT is used to transform a given digital image. Based on the experimental results, it is shown that the proposed methods are robust to a large extent.

Abstract:This paper presents a digital watermarking scheme based on the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). In the proposed method, selected mid-band DCT coefficients from 8x8 block DCT are selected to form blocks which are later decomposed into three matrices, i.e. U, S and V. Finally the original watermark is also partitioned into blocks and then embedded into the matrix S. Experimental result shows that the presented scheme is robust to several kinds of attacks.

Abstract:Digital watermarking has been presented as a new method for copyright protection. This technique embeds a secret signal in a digital image or video sequence that allows one to establish ownership or identify a buyer. The common digital image watermarking techniques are spatial or transform-based, which are based on spread-spectrum communications. Most of transform-domain watermarking methods are based on discrete cosine transforms (DCT) and robust to JPEG lossy compression. Recently, digital image watermarking based on another important lossy compression technique, vector quantization (VQ), has been presented, which carries watermark information by codeword indices. It is secret and efficient, and is robust to VQ compression with the same codebook. Block truncation coding (BTC) is a fast lossy image coding technique suitable for real-time image transmission. Both VQ and BTC have some shortcomings that affect their applications to image compression. To reduce edge degradation produced by VQ and BTC, VQ-BTC has been presented as an efficient technique for low-bit-rate image encoding. This paper presents a more efficient image watermarking method based on VQ-BTC. Experimental results show that the proposed technique is efficient and secret.

Abstract:Until today, digital image watermarking has not been large-scale used in the industry. The first reason is that the watermarking efficiency is low and the real-time performance cannot be satisfied. The second reason is that the watermarking scheme cannot cope with various attacks. To solve above problems, this paper presents a multi-domain based digital image watermarking scheme, where a fast DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform) based watermarking method is proposed for synchronization correction and an IWT-DCT (Integer Wavelet Transform-Discrete Cosine Transform) based watermarking method is proposed for information embedding. The proposed scheme has high efficiency during embedding and extraction. Compared with five existing schemes, the robustness of our scheme is very strong and our scheme can cope with many common attacks and compound attacks, and thus can be used in wide application scenarios.

Abstract:This paper present a novel easy and effective algorithm to plant digital watermark into digital images, this algorithm is different to general watermarking methods based on spread spectrum, because a new orthogonal base based on piecewise polynomial is constructed. The watermark based on this algorithm can resist energy loss caused by lose compression of digital image. In the first part of this pper, piecewise linear U system and its properties will be introduced respectively, corresponding graphs are shown, too. Following this part, how to generalize this algorithm to piecewise k degree U system is discussed; In the third part fo this paper, based on decompose digital image by piecewise linear U system, a kind of digital image watermarking scheme will be provided, the process of this algorithm is introduced step by step. By the end of this paper, some corresponding experimental results based on U system will be listed. The experimental results demonstrate the algorithm is reliable.
