Abstract:Digital library is a globally-distributed,federated information system,the fundamental element of digital libraries is digital object,which is the basis of main functions of digital libraries.this paper focus on the problems of description and discovery of digital object and introduces the technique and standard of digital object description. Base on the framework of digital libraries which is introduced in paper firstly,a distributed searching arithmetic is also presented.
