Abstract:Graphene is an ideal two-dimensional electronic material. It has attracted lots of attention in developing functional electronic components in the fields of biochemistry, energy, display and high speed communication, because of its excellent properties in flexibility, optical properties, electron mobility, specific surface area and biocompatibility. Thereinto, the graphene and its derivatives based biochemical sensors have been the research hotspots of biology, chemistry and electronics,in which the high electron mobility and fluorescence characteristics are integrated with their superiorities in easy-to-biofunctionalization and high specific surface area. The graphene and its derivatives based biochemical sensors have enormous potential in the realization of rapid biochemical detection. In the view of biochemistry sensors' design, the functions of graphene and its derivatives in different kinds of biochemical sensors (such as fluorescence, electrochemistry and field effect transistor)are reviewed and classified in this work, according to three demands for increasing the charge transfer between the receptor and the transducer, the sensing probes'fixation efficiency on the transducer and the intensity of the transducer. This work will provide a theoretical and experimental basis for promoting the applications of graphene and its derivatives in biochemical sensors.
