Water and Oil Repellent Finish on Polyester Fabrics with Better Performance after Natural Air-drying

Abstract:A kind of water and oil repellent ifnish was used on polyester fabrics to enhance their water and oil repellent performance after washing and natural air-drying. The process was optimized through signal factor and orthogonal experiments on the process conditions, such as dosage of cross-linking agent, kinds and dosage of water repellent, curing time and temperature, pH value and so on. The optimized conditions were: the dosage of the crosslinking agent was 25% of that of the water repellent; the dosage of water repellent 50 g/L; pH value 5 ~ 6; curing temperature 180℃ and time 90 seconds.
