Abstract:This paper elaborates the development of spatial structure in our country.Because the forms and types are colorful and incessantly innovating,it is necessary to divide spatial structure by component elements.After the 21th century,the development of our nation’s spatial structure comes into a new period that the application range and fields for spatial structure extend continuously.Besides the large-span public buildings such as gymnasiums and airports,there are extensive and innovative applications including large-scale railway stations,stations awning without column,bridges and high-rise buildings for spatial structure.About the international cooperation,it is suggested to have an open mind and optimistic view towards the fact that that architecture scheme for our nation’s spatial structures are frequently led by foreign companies.China is already a country with a great deal of the top of the world spatial structures,thus it is our responsibility to strive to create even better and advanced spatial structures.Some issues which we should pay more attention are pointed out.

Abstract:In the past,the cognition of urban space was carried out mainly from the different aspects of the physical dimension.However,with the development of digital technology,the virtual dimension has also become an important perspective of spatial cognition in the field of urban planning,and the evolution of technology has an effect on the virtual-physical relationship of urban space.Based on the analysis and comparison on the characteristics of different digital technologies and the characteristics of space under the influence of them,this paper points out that the virtual-physical space has emerged due to the changes of XR technology in the contents and methods of interaction,and the virtual-physical space is characterized by visibility,three-dimensional sense of space,and real-time interaction with the physical environment.The paper further analyzes the different virtual-physical relationships of urban space under the influence of digital technology,including the transfer of physical space to virtual space,the extension of virtual space in physical space,the supplement of virtualphysical space to virtual space,and the coordination of physical space to virtual-physical space.Among them,the virtual-physical space has an impact on regional connection and urban public space.The virtual-physical relationship of future urban space will put forward new requirements for the urban planning and design:the dual attributes of urban space as both virtual and physical space will bring dual requirements to planners,and the interaction between the virtual and physical urban space will change the urban planning and design process.As the impact deepens,it is necessary to discuss how to protect the physical space and standardize the design,storage,and use of virtual space and virtualphysical space,and to pay attention to the changes in social relations and socio-economic development.

Abstract:This paper provides a state-of-the-art review on practical application and research advances of space structures in China.The main contents of the paper include: the optimization,improvement and innovation on the form of space structures;the collapse mechanism,elastic-plastic analysis and ultimate bearing capacity of nodal joints in space structures;super long span structures;development from heavy roofs to light roofs,from rigid structural systems to flexible systems;research and development of cable domes;simulation on the whole construction process and new construction methods of large space structures;development from fixed roofs to retractable roofs;development from simple design technology to manufacture informative integration technology;advances in theoretical research on space structures and health monitoring and reinforcing technology of space structures.Further research topics for the application and development of long-span space structures in China are finally presented.

Abstract:Despite the best efforts of high modernist architects and urban designers to privilege openness and continuous space, to do away with enclosure altogether, the contemporary global city is as much an interior condition as an exterior one. Early manifestations of the 'urban interior' appeared in late-nineteenth-century America, when skyscraper architects designed elaborate lobbies mimicking and competing with the streets outside. Air-conditioning, fluorescent lighting, the escalator and long-span structural systems made possible the vast interior spaces characteristic of our contemporary urban landscape: the shopping mall, the office complex and the airport terminal. The work of sociologist William H. Whyte proved hugely influential in popularizing the urban living room idea. His primary critique of his subjects was that many were designed primarily for visual appeal, or as elements within a larger urban composition, with little thought as to how people would inhabit them. The creation of the late-modern version of the urban surface is aided by new technologies.

Abstract:Architecture and Video Games have a superficially obvious relationship. The cultural and technological development of video games—produced using 3D programs and imaging technology—is congruent with the development of digital space and digital tools as a whole. Since the original paperless studio at Columbia, the discipline of Architecture’s experiments with digital space focus almost exclusively on efforts to discover increased efficiencies via new formal, aesthetic, and scientific technological relationships.1 While fruitful, there have been no models adapted to study and absorb the cultural, experiential, or narrative conditions of digital space—so crucial to the practice of architecture. While remote teaching encouraged this exploration, the inclusion of video game engines and the cultural spaces surrounding them should be a widely adapted aspect of architecture studio now and into the future.

Abstract:Architecture networking and computer digital technologies are critical in building design and construction. They have transformed architects' and designers' approaches to building design, making it more efficient, accurate, and collaborative. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact that architectural networking and computer digital technology have on aesthetic quality and user experience, with a particular emphasis on the role that functionality plays in mediating the relationship and the role that client preferences play in moderating the relationship. A quantitative approach was taken to the research, and data was obtained from 375 participants through the use of an online survey. The participants were shown a hypothetical building design via digital technology, and they were given the task of rating the aesthetically pleasing qualities of the building as well as the overall user experience. According to the findings of the research conducted, architectural networking and computer digital technology had a considerable impact, both positively and significantly, on the aesthetic quality of the building design as well as the user experience. In addition, it was discovered that functionality partially mediated the relationship between architecture networking and aesthetic quality and user experience. This finding lends credence to the idea that the functionality of a building's design played an important part in determining both the aesthetic quality and the user experience of the building. It was discovered that client preferences had a significant moderating effect on the relationship between architecture networking and aesthetic quality/user experience. This finding indicates that the impact of architecture networking on aesthetic quality and user experience was more pronounced when the clients preferred modern and innovative designs.

Abstract:Under the background of the prevailing visual culture, the role of visual communication design is becoming increasingly prominent, and its importance cannot be ignored. With the continuous development of science and technology, digital media technology has become an important support for graphic design (that is, visual communication design), and its application scope has expanded from traditional print media to network media. With digital technology as the core, network media has had a profound impact on the method and thinking mode of visual communication design. This influence is not only reflected in the expansion of the design from two-dimensional plane to three-dimensional space, but also includes the integration of time and motion elements into the visual composition, making the design content and layout from static to dynamic and interactive direction. In such a design environment, the design forms that can provide rich visual stimulation and aesthetic experience have received extensive attention and research. This paper aims to deeply explore the spatial visual form in digital media art design from the perspective of visual perception, and comprehensively analyze and elaborate the construction methods of three-dimensional space, four-dimensional space and surreal multi-dimensional space.

Abstract:Traditional architectural space design often relies on fixed display boards, paper guides, and static displays. Viewers can only passively receive information and lack opportunities to interact with the displayed content, making it difficult to generate deep participation and personalized experiences. This article applied new media images into the interactive design of architectural spaces, transforming and innovating traditional architectural spaces, and providing audiences with a richer and more attractive spatial experience. The navigation service was set as the architectural space design goal, and analyzed using the Leifeng Tower building in Hangzhou as an example. Building Information Modeling (BIM) was used to digitally model the Leifeng Tower building, accurately simulating the building structure, spatial layout, and landscape information. By adding virtual information annotations and navigation routes, tourists were provided with a more diverse and colorful architectural space experience. The experimental results showed that among 400 tourists, the highest number of tourists using augmented reality navigation was 204, and the average satisfaction score of tourists with augmented reality navigation reached 90. Moreover, presenting the guide content in a multimodal form can better enhance the spatial experience of tourists. The use of augmented reality in architectural spatial interaction design can enrich tourists' perception and experience in the architectural space, enabling them to interact with the building in a more vivid and interactive way.

Abstract:In social media, we communicate through pictures, videos, short codes, links, partial phrases. It is a rich, and digitally documented communication channel that relies on a multitude of media and forms. These channels are sorted by algorithms as organizers of discourse, mostly with the goal of channeling attention. In this research, we used Twitter to study the way Media Architecture is discussed within the community of architects, designers, researchers and policy makers. We look at the way they spontaneously share opinions on their engagement with digital infrastructures, networked places and hybrid public spaces. What can we do with all those opinions? We propose here the use of text-mining and machine learning techniques to identify important concepts and patterns in this prolific communication stream. We discuss how such techniques could inform the practice and emergence of future trends.
