Acoustic Evaluation of the Concert Hall Based on Simulated Impulse Responses

Abstract:The impulse responses and other acoustical parameters of Huangpu Teenager Palace were measured. Meanwhile, the acoustical simulation based on software ODEON was carried out as well. The parameters based on computer simulation are compared with the measured ones. This case study shows that the auralization technique based on computer simulation can be used for predicting the acoustical quality of a hall at its design stage.
