Research progresses in regeneration of adsorbents by advanced oxidation processes

Abstract:The current research achievements of regeneration of adsorbent by advanced oxidation processes are summarized. The applications of 4 processes for adsorbent regeneration are introduced,such as:photocatalytic oxidation,Fenton oxidation,activated persulfate oxidation and ozone oxidation. The mechanisms of these processes are analyzed and their disadvantages are also discussed. Furthermore,the directions for further research are prospected.
