Abstract:The proportions of heavy metal in different fractions varies in different soils, the fraction distribution of heavy metals not only determine the degree of pollution, but influence the remediation effect to a large extent. However, there is less research on the heavy metal distribution on extraction efficiency currently. In this study, heavy metal species in the soil were investigated by the modified European Community Bureau of Reference (BCR) sequential extraction. To compare the heavy metal extraction effect in Pb and Cr real contaminated soil (A1 and B1) and artificially contaminated soil(A2 and B2),seven agents named CaCl2,HCl,NaOH,citric acid、ethylenediamine tetraacetate acid(EDTA),DL-2-(2-carboxymethyl) nitrilotriacetic(GLDA) and saponin were tested. With the aim of determining the influence of heavy metals fraction distribution on extraction efficiency in real and artificial soil,EDTA flasks washing experiment was conducted. We can see that the percentage of heavy metal in extractable fraction in A1 and B1 were 88.07 % and 79.81% higher than that of A2 and B2(80.80% and 37.55%).The removal efficiency of EDTA for A1,A2,B1 and B2 were 8009%,89.80%,24.22% and 53.63%,which was the best performance in the seven eluents. All the eluents performed better removal efficiency on A2 and B2 than A1 and B1.This proves the higher extractable fraction proportion, the higher extraction efficiency of heavy metals. The redistribution of the fractions after chemical extraction can indicate that the removal efficiency of extractable fraction can determine the overall extraction efficiency.
