Significance of microRNAs in clinical diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic malignancy

Abstract:Widespread attention is paid on pancreatic cancer because of its high morbidity and characteristics such as high malignant degree and poor prognosis. Low rate of early diagnosis, high resistance to chemotherapy and high mortality rate are main problems for diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer. Studies have shown that the microRNAs affect cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and transfer by gene transcription regulation of cell cycle which play an important role in the formation of tumor, meanwhile, it also pointed out a close relationship among the microRNAs expression level, human progress, identification of tumor, cancer survival, drug resistance and targeted therapy. Therefore, the research of microRNAs on action mechanism and clinical significance of diagnosis and treatment in pancreatic cancer have caused much attention. This article discussed microRNAs in pancreatic cancer development mechanism, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of clinical significance by using existing knowledge.
