Abstract: Analytical Chemistry (AC) is one of the fundamental courses for undergraduate students and graduate students, who are major in chemistry, chemical engineering, life science and/or medical science in universities/colleges. The teaching reforms in AC is crucial for the cultivating of creative talents. The principles of AC, such as, present situation, characteristics, basic theory and teaching practice in accordance with the general requirements of the University Innovation Capability Promotion Plan (UICPP) for College Functions, the article proposed personnel training for the core, all resources"synergy"ways to enhance the teaching reform strategies in AC.

Abstract:The advanced physical chemistry experiment course is carried out in a totally open teaching mode at Peking University.Students can design experimental projects and explore by themselves.The course needs over three hundreds requirements of chemical reagents and the categories are different every year.Thus systemic preparation process and management measure of chemical reagents are established by experimental technicians to efficiently satisfy the experimental requirements.Open experimental teaching can be carried out successfully.Chemical reagents are allocated scientifically to reduce the cost of experiment.Based on the hazard grade,the chemical reagents are controlled to ensure the experiment security.The waste liquid is collected in different category to protect environment and human health.

Abstract:The university chemical experiment is a public fundamental course for the first year students of non-chemistry majors in Tsinghua University .The university chemical experiment course is set up independently in Tsinghua University ,the teaching hours are short ,the number of the students choosing this course is large , and their experimental levels are quite different .From the actual situation ,the experimental contents with the combination of basic knowledge and engineering specialty are determined , the various teaching forms are adopted to improve the teaching effect , the teaching idea of training students ' innovative thinking is implemented ,and an effective mode for the university chemical experimental teaching is explored . After several years of practice ,better results have been achieved .

Abstract:: Based on the situation of China University of Petroleum (East China) and the students’ training characteristics, we have explored the reasonable teaching design on the basis of combining the theory and features of physical chemistry course with the practices, to facilitate chemical knowledge acquisition in non-chemical engineering majors. Teaching reforms such as using a variety of teaching methods and evaluation modes were employed in oil & gas storage and transportation engineering major, which has received significant teaching results.

Abstract:In 2013,Zhejiang University has launched the graduate English course that would be fully taught by foreign teacher.Taking this opportunity,the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering has invited Prof.M.Grunze from Heidelberg University,Germany,to teach "Interface Science of Polymer".The aim of English course program is to improve student professional knowledge and communication skill in English,as well as to train young teacher.The program has been carried out for 3 years,and the teaching content,arrangement of class,student feeling,and learning experience are summarized.Furthermore,based on Chinese student characteristics,we have suggested several ideas and opinions for teaching and class management.

Abstract:: This paper introduces the recent practice of teaching experimental design in physical chemistry laboratory in the Chemical Experimental Teaching Center of Nanjing University. The design of experiment is organized in four parts: selecting main instruments, submitting a preliminary proposal, making a presentation of the detailed project, and carrying out the designed experiment. The teaching practice proves that it is an effective route to cultivate the comprehensive quality and the independent innovation ability of students.

Abstract:Under the background of “top talent training program” 2.0, the curriculum system of organic chemistry laboratory in Peking University has been established. The core target is to comprehensive cultivate students’ scientific literacy and ability. The training of scientific research method is the main line of teaching. The basic operation, synthesis technology, open experiment, computational experiment, literature research, scientific writing and other teaching modules are fully integrated. Through the teaching design based on understanding and the blended teaching mode, the hierarchical teaching is carried out to enhance the ability of students’ autonomous learning and cooperative learning and promote the growth of students.

Abstract:Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, an online inorganic chemistry course for engineering students was set up at Zhejiang University for the 2020 spring semester. In this study, we will be using this course as an example of how to offer efficient methods for online teaching in chemistry. Applications such as DingTalk, WeChat, and the Web site were combined to establish a network platform to smoothly carry out this course. Personal insights on high-quality online teaching for inorganic chemistry are also discussed. Taken into consideration for online teaching and learning attributes, special screening background, scientific story and history, research frontiers, and interesting activities were incorporated to attract the attention of students in class. Abstract:The feasibility and practical meaning of the teaching method with "Theoretical-Virtual-Real" integration practice are carefully discussed during the process of a group of American students doing chemical engineering experiment by using the online cloud class with virtual simulation software.The research method mainlyincludes observation and discussion in the classroom as well as questionnaire survey.It's proven that the way of teaching by cloud class with virtual simulation software is a creative and effective improvement from traditional teaching method.It has a big advantage in saving educational costs and helping students to learn by themselves anywhere anytime.

Abstract:: Analytical chemistry lab plays an important role in chemistry education for undergraduate. The independent experiment has been widely applied to the practice of laboratory teaching. It is also of great significance to carry out independent experiments for majors such as pharmaceutical sciences. It is a challenging practice to carry out the independent experiment in the limited time of the basic laboratory course. Abstract:: This article aims at how to cultivate top talents through analytical chemistry teaching by following the philosophy of teaching student to fish rather than giving them a fish. Throughout the course, multimode teaching practice was implemented via combining “large-size lecture classes” with “seminar and small-size learn-by-doing classes”. It is hoped that through these efforts, the students will, at least in the analytical chemistry field, enhance the abilities to obtain and evaluate scientific references and research achievements, improve oral and written expression skills, and have hands-on DIY experience in assembling and disassembling analytical instruments. The multimode teaching practice is expected to make contribution to establish high-quality education system for top talents to stand out.

Abstract:This study examines scientific practices associated with scientific writing in organic chemistry in China. Although there is rapidly growing literature on the features and strategies of scientific writing, further research in this area is needed to recognize and treat scientific writing as a social endeavor to evaluate it in a more comprehensive and detailed way in order to effectively convey scientific information to readers. This study shared these important premises and attempted to investigate the development of Chinese undergraduate students’ competence of scientific writing. Twenty-two undergraduate students majoring in chemistry participated in this study. They experienced a researcher-intervened Advanced Organic Chemistry Experiment course and were asked to write scientific articles on the six course experiments. Their scientific writings were analyzed based on normativity, objectivity, and logicality. These dimensions of the development of students’ competence in scientific writing during the course were portrayed. This study suggested that student's development in scientific writing can be divided into categories, demonstrating the importance and implications of teaching “learn to write” in science.

Abstract:We carried out discussing case of Chemistry of Natural Products in different specialized course in College of Pharmacy,Henan University.263 students' questionnaire surveys indicated that the discussing method combined with teaching by powerpoint is the most approvable.The teaching method can be applied in theme introduction,example in course and overview after course.The teaching method is effective to stimulate the students' studying interest,improve their ability of analyzing questions and enhance the mastering of theoretical knowledge,etc.So it is worth promoting in Chemistry of Natural Products teaching.
