Abstract:In this Communication, the description of a preparation method was unclear and misleading. In the left column on page 11970, the sentence “Deep eutectic supramolecular polymers (DESPs) based on cyclodextrins were prepared by simply heating the mixtures of cyclodextrins and natural acids” should be amended to read “Deep eutectic supramolecular polymers (DESPs) based on cyclodextrins were prepared by simply heating the aqueous solutions of cyclodextrins and acids. In the preparation, water was used to dissolve the components. With AC-1 as an example, α-CD (0.37 mmol) and citric acid (1.86 mmol) were added in a vial. Water (10 mL) was added to form a homogeneous solution. The open vial was placed in an oven at 70 °C until weight remained constant. Homogeneous and transparent deep eutectic supramolecular polymers were obtained and used directly for tests.” On page 11972, the energy for the adhesion effect should be changed from −17.3 kcal mol−1 to −15.3 kcal mol−1. (Figure 3 c shows the correct value, −15.3 kcal mol−1.) These corrections do not change the discussions and conclusions reported in this Communication.
