Abstract:This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of different proportions of fermented rapeseed meal ( FRSM) to replace soybean meal in the diet on the growth performance, serum biochemical indexes, an-tioxidant ability and immunology function of growing pigs. A total of 96 healthy crossbred ( Duroc×Landrace× Large White) barrows ( the same batch) with an initial body weight of(42.35±1.65) kg were randomly allot-ted to 4 groups with 6 replicates per group and 4 pigs in each replicate. Pigs in group Ⅰ were fed a corn-soy-bean meal diet, those in groupⅡwere fed an iso-nitrogen replacement diet with 8.4% rapeseed meal ( RSM) , those in group Ⅲ were fed the iso-nitrogen replacement diet with 12% FRSM, and those in groupⅣ were fed the iso-nitrogen replacement diet with 16% FRSM. The experiment lasted for 7 weeks. The results showed as follows: 1) there were no significant differences in average daily gain ( ADG) , average daily feed intake ( AD-FI) and feed/gain ( F/G) among all groups ( P>0.05) , but groupsⅢ,Ⅳwere better than groupⅡ. 2) There were no significant differences in serum glucose ( GLU) , total protein ( TP) and urea nitrogen ( UN) contents among all groups ( P>0.05) ; the content of total cholesterol ( T-CHOL) in serum in groups Ⅲ and Ⅳ was significantly lower than that in groupsⅠandⅡ( P<0.05) ; the contents of triiodothyronine ( T3) and thyrox-ine ( T4) in serum in groupⅡwere the highest among all groups, the content of T3 in serum was significantly higher than that in the other three groups ( P<0.01) , the content of T4 in serum was significantly higher than that in groupⅣ( P<0.05) , and there were no significant differences among the other three groups ( P>0.05) . 3) There were no significant differences in glutathion peroxidase ( GSH-Px) activity and total antioxidant ca-pacity ( T-AOC) in serum among all groups ( P>0.05) ; the activity of superoxide dismutase ( SOD) in serum in group Ⅲ was significantly higher than that in groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ ( P<0.01), and the content of malonalde-hyde ( MDA) in serum was significantly lower than that in groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ ( P<0.05) , and there were no significant differences between groupsⅢandⅣ( P>0.05) . 4) The contents of immunoglobulin ( Ig) A, IgG and IgM in serum were no significant differences among all groups ( P>0.05) . The serum tumor necrosis fac-tor-α ( TNF-α) content in group Ⅲ was significantly higher than that in group Ⅳ ( P<0.05) , and there were no significant differences among the other three groups ( P>0.05) . In summary, the microbial solid state fer-mentation of RSM can improve the growth performance of growing pigs, reduce the contents of serum T3, T4 and T-CHOL, improve the antioxidant ability, and have no negative impact on immune function. The amount of FRSM added to the growing pigs diet is increased to 16%, that is, the amount of RSM is increased to 11.2%.[ Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition, 2019, 31(2) :874-882]
