Abstract:Let $\Omega$ be a class of unital $\rm C^{*}$-algebras. The class of ${\rm C^*}$-algebras which are asymptotical tracially in $\Omega$, denoted by ${\rm AT}\Omega$. In this paper, we will show that the following class of ${\rm C^*}$-algebras in the class $\Omega$ are inherited by simple unital ${\rm C^*}$-algebras in the class $\rm T\Omega$ $(1)$ the class of real rank zero ${\rm C^*}$-algebras, $(2)$ the class of ${\rm C^*}$-algebras with the radius of comparison $n$, and $(3)$ the class of $\rm AT\Omega$. As an application, let $\Omega$ be a class of unital ${\rm C^*}$-algebras which have generalized tracial rank at most one (or has tracial topological rank zero, or has tracial topological rank one). Let $A$ be a unital separable simple ${\rm C^*}$-algebra such that $A\in \rm AT\Omega$, then $A$ has generalized tracial rank at most one (or has tracial topological rank zero, or has tracial topological rank one).

Abstract: In this paper, we introduce a class of generalized tracial approximation ${\rm C^*}$-algebras. Let $\mathcal{P}$ be a class of unital ${\rm C^*}$-algebras which have tracially $\mathcal{Z}$-absorbing (tracial nuclear dimension at most $n$, $\rm SP$ property, $m$-almost divisible, weakly $(m, n)$-divisible). Then $A$ has tracially $\mathcal{Z}$-absorbing (tracial nuclear dimension at most $n$, $\rm SP$ property, weakly $m$-almost divisible, secondly weakly $(m, n)$-divisible) for any simple unital ${\rm C^*}$-algebra $A$ in the class of this generalized tracial approximation ${\rm C^*}$-algebras. As an application, Let $A$ be an infinite dimensional unital simple ${\rm C^*}$-algebra, and let $B$ be a centrally large subalgebra of $A$. If $B$ is tracially $\mathcal{Z}$-absorbing, then $A$ is tracially $\mathcal{Z}$-absorbing. This result was obtained by Archey, Buck and Phillips in \cite{AJN}.

Abstract:Abstract We construct two types of unital separable simple $C^*$ -algebras: $A_z^{C_1}$ and $A_z^{C_2}$ , one exact but not amenable, the other nonexact. Both have the same Elliott invariant as the Jiang–Su algebra – namely, $A_z^{C_i}$ has a unique tracial state, $$ \begin{align*} \left(K_0\left(A_z^{C_i}\right), K_0\left(A_z^{C_i}\right)_+, \left[1_{A_z^{C_i}} \right]\right)=(\mathbb{Z}, \mathbb{Z}_+,1), \end{align*} $$ and $K_{1}\left (A_z^{C_i}\right )=\{0\}$ ( $i=1,2$ ). We show that $A_z^{C_i}$ ( $i=1,2$ ) is essentially tracially in the class of separable ${\mathscr Z}$ -stable $C^*$ -algebras of nuclear dimension $1$ . $A_z^{C_i}$ has stable rank one, strict comparison for positive elements and no $2$ -quasitrace other than the unique tracial state. We also produce models of unital separable simple nonexact (exact but not nuclear) $C^*$ -algebras which are essentially tracially in the class of simple separable nuclear ${\mathscr Z}$ -stable $C^*$ -algebras, and the models exhaust all possible weakly unperforated Elliott invariants. We also discuss some basic properties of essential tracial approximation.

Abstract: Let $\Omega$ be a class of ${\rm C^*}$-algebras. In this paper, we study a class of not necessarily unital generalized tracial approximation ${\rm C^*}$-algebras, and the class of simple ${\rm C^*}$-algebras which can be generally tracially approximated by ${\rm C^*}$-algebras in $\Omega$, denoted by ${\rm gTA}\Omega$. Let $\Omega$ be a class of unital ${\rm C^*}$-algebras and let $A$ be a simple unital ${\rm C^*}$-algebra. Then $A\in {\rm gTA}\Omega$, if, and only if, $A\in {\rm WTA}\Omega$ (where ${\rm TA}\Omega$ is the class of weakly tracially approximable unital ${\rm C^*}$-algebras introduced by Elliott, Fan, and Fang).Consider the class of ${\rm C^*}$-algebras which are tracially $\mathcal{Z}$-absorbing (or are of tracial nuclear dimension at most $n$, or are $m$-almost divisible, or have the property $\rm SP$). Then $A$ is tracially $\mathcal{Z}$-absorbing (respectively, has tracial nuclear dimension at most $n$, is weakly ($n, m$)-almost divisible, has the property $\rm SP$) for any simple ${\rm C^*}$-algebra $A$ in the corresponding class of generalized tracial approximation ${\rm C^*}$-algebras.

Abstract:Let C be a unital AH-algebra and let A be a unital separable simple C*-algebra with tracial rank no more than one. Suppose that phi,psi : C -> A are two unital monomorphisms. With some restriction on C, we show that phi and psi are approximately unitarily equivalent if and only if[phi] = [psi] in K L(C, A),tau circle phi = tau circle psi for all tracial states of A andphi(double dagger) = psi(double dagger),where phi(double dagger) and psi(double dagger) are homomorphisms from U(C)/CU(C) -> U(A)/CU(A) induced by phi and psi, respectively, and where CU(C) and CU(A) are closures of the subgroup generated by commutators of the unitary groups of C and B.A more practical but approximate version of the above is also presented.

Abstract:Let C and A be two unital separable amenable simple C ∗ -algebras with tracial rank at most one. Suppose that C satisfies the Universal Coefficient Theorem and suppose that ϕ 1 , ϕ 2 : C → A are two unital monomorphisms. We show that there is a continuous path of unitaries u t : t ∈[0,∞) of A such that lim_t→∞u_t^*φ_1(c)u_t=φ_2(c) c∈ C if and only if [ ϕ 1 ]=[ ϕ 2 ] in KK(C,A),φ_1^=φ_2^,(φ_1)_T=(φ _2)_T and a rotation related map R_φ_1,φ_2 associated with ϕ 1 and ϕ 2 is zero. Applying this result together with a result of W. Winter, we give a classification theorem for a class 𝒜 of unital separable simple amenable C ∗ -algebras which is strictly larger than the class of separable C ∗ -algebras with tracial rank zero or one. Tensor products of two C ∗ -algebras in 𝒜 are again in 𝒜 . Moreover, this class is closed under inductive limits and contains all unital simple ASH-algebras for which the state space of K 0 is the same as the tracial state space and also some unital simple ASH-algebras whose K 0 -group is ℤ and whose tracial state spaces are any metrizable Choquet simplex. One consequence of the main result is that all unital simple AH-algebras which are 𝒵 -stable are isomorphic to ones with no dimension growth.

Abstract:Let $A$ be a unital separable non-elementary amenable simple stably finite C*-algebra such that its tracial state space has a $\sigma$-compact countable-dimensional extremal boundary. We show that $A$ is ${\cal Z}$-stable if and only if it has strict comparison and stable rank one. We show that this result also holds for non-unital cases (which may not be Morita equivalent to unital ones).

Abstract:We introduce the notion of tracial equivalence for C*-algebras. Let A and B be two unital separable C*-algebras. If they are tracially equivalent, then there are two sequences of asymptotically multiplicative contractive completely positive linear maps phi(n) : A -> B and psi(n) : B -> A with a tracial condition such that {phi(n) circle phi(n)} and {psi(n) circle phi(n)} are tracially approximately inner. Let A and B be two unital separable simple C*-algebras with tracial topological rank zero. It is proved that A and B are tracially equivalent if and only if A and B have order isomorphic ranges of tracial. states. For the Cantor minimal systems (X-1, sigma(1)) and (X-2, sigma(2)), using a result of Giordano, Putnam and Skau, we show that two such dynamical systems are (topological) orbit equivalent if and only if the associated crossed products C(X-1) x (sigma 1)Z and C(X-2) x sigma(2) Z are tracially equivalent.

Abstract:Let A and C be two unital simple C∗-algebras with tracial rank zero. Suppose that C is amenable and satisfies the Universal Coefficient Theorem. Denote by KKe(C,A)++ the set of those κ in KK(C,A) for which κ(K0(C)+∖{0})⊂K0(A)+∖{0} and κ([1C])=[1A]. Suppose that κ∈KKe(C,A)++. We show that there is a unital monomorphism ϕ:C→A such that [ϕ]=κ. Suppose that C is a unital AH-algebra and λ:T(A)→Tf(C) is a continuous affine map for which τ(κ([p]))=λ(τ)(p) for all projections p in all matrix algebras of C and any τ∈T(A), where T(A) is the simplex of tracial states of A and Tf(C) is the convex set of faithful tracial states of C. We prove that there is a unital monomorphism ϕ:C→A such that ϕ induces both κ and λ. Suppose that h:C→A is a unital monomorphism and γ∈Hom(K1(C),Aff(A)). We show that there exists a unital monomorphism ϕ:C→A such that [ϕ]=[h] in KK(C,A), τ○ϕ=τ○h for all tracial states τ and the associated rotation map can be given by γ. Denote by KKT(C,A)++ the set of compatible pairs (κ,λ), where κ∈KLe(C,A)++ and λ is a continuous affine map from T(A) to Tf(C). Together with a result on asymptotic unitary equivalence in [H. Lin, Asymptotic unitary equivalence and asymptotically inner automorphisms, arXiv:math/0703610, 2007], this provides a bijection from the asymptotic unitary equivalence classes of unital monomorphisms from C to A to (KKT(C,A)++,Hom(K1(C),Aff(T(A)))/R0), where R0 is a subgroup related to vanishing rotation maps. As an application, combining these results with a result of W. Winter [W. Winter, Localizing the Elliott conjecture at strongly self-absorbing C∗-algebras, arXiv:0708.0283v3, 2007], we show that two unital amenable simple Z-stable C∗-algebras are isomorphic if they have the same Elliott invariant and the tensor products of these C∗-algebras with any UHF-algebra have tracial rank zero. In particular, if A and B are two unital separable simple Z-stable C∗-algebras with unique tracial states which are inductive limits of C∗-algebras of type I, then they are isomorphic if and only if they have isomorphic Elliott invariants.
