Abstract:The objective of this trial was to evaluate the anti-hypoxia and anti fatigue activities of Flammulina velutipes, Pleurotus eryngii, Lentinus edodes, and Cordyceps militaris in mice. Mice were divided into four groups for each mushroom, a control group and three different doses treatment groups, 0.8 g/kg for the low-dose group, 1.6 g/kg for the medium-dose group, and 2.5 g/kg for the high-dose group. The tests of anti fatigue and anti-hypoxia activities showed that mushrooms increased the loading swimming capacity, survival time under anoxia, liver and muscle glycogen contents, the levels of Hb, HCT, RBC and hemoglobin as well as decreased the levels of blood urea nitrogen and blood lactic acid in serum. Therefore, mushrooms exhibit good anti fatigue and anti-hypoxia activities, suggesting that mushrooms have a great potential in functional food industry.
